David Meanix Assignment

This is the work of David Meanix. He took photos and then he turned them into different photos by cutting them up and putting them back together. I think his work is interesting and unique. I'm not estastic about it, but to each has his own. I like he did more then people, he has a variety.

Build Your Own Animal

Top 3 favorites from the websites

I think that some of the tools used in these pictures might be blur, cut, lasso, and dodge. the also might have had a couple different layers and blended them together. Thats a few things they might have done to get these cool species.

Frandy Jean - Haitian Painter

Today Frandy, a painter from Haiti  came to speak to us about his art. I tho ught it was very interesting to hear what he does in Haiti and that Mrs.Y had volunteered there and looks forward to every few months when she goes back. It was cool to see another side of Haiti that I didn't really get to see when I went. I thought that the paintings were oil or acrylic, i was neat to find out that paintings that delated were water color.

10 Things Im Thankful For

Rollip Homework

Untooning: Realistic Cartoons

I changed my little brother C.J. into Winnie the Pooh. I used the lasso tool to outline areas I needed so that I could only change the colors of certain things. I also used fill bucket and opacity. I used shape tools to get the ears and nose. I placed a background (the hundred acre woods) in the back, and erased parts of it so it looked like it is behind my little brother.

Verbal Abuse Posters

I did verbal abuse because it is an on going from of bullying. Verbal abuse is a serious topic that people tend to neglect or ignore. People are more prone to seeing a black eye because it cant be covered like a fake smile covers thoughts. If people see a girl out with a baby it automatically has to be her's, it cant be a cousin or a niece or nephew or a brother or a sister, no i has be be her child. A girl will get called many things if she is seen anywhere with a baby regardless if it's hers or not.

Magazine Cover Comparison

Both magazine covers are cool looking and grab someones attention. However the old fashion magazine is simple and there is not much on it. The modern magazine has more text on the cover explaining whats inside. It also has a picture that look printed on it rather then painted and printed on like the old fashion magazine.

Roy Lichtenstein Background

5 Examples of Lichtenstein Art:

"Ben-Day" Dots are small colored dots that vary in color and are arranged on a paper to create a picture or optical illusion. Also they overlap or are spaced out. They are always equal in size and distributed in specific areas.

Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein both do pop culture art, however they are different. Andy repeats his picture in a box formation (ex: # rows and 3 columns of the same picture). Also Andy changes the pictures color and layout. Roy has captions on his pictures and he uses dots in his pictures (similar to what you would see in comics). Also Roy does not duplicate his picture and not always everything is "dotted".
